Scott Merritt, owner of Fire & Ice Heating and Cooling, Inc., managed a TV repair shop and a few restaurants before entering the American School of Technology as an HVAC student in the spring of 1994.  Prior to this, Scott had owned, operated, and sold several service businesses before deciding to enter the heating, ventilation and air conditioning field. Upon entering the HVAC field, Scott decided to learn all he could in a ten year period. His ten year period ended in 2004, when he opened up Fire & Ice Heating and Cooling, Inc. Fire & Ice now employs seven people, three of which are graduates of the American School of Technology HVAC program.
