The American School of Technology HVAC program is designed to provide the student with an understanding of HVAC/R systems, their operation and diagnosis, to obtain job entry skills or advancement within the heating and refrigeration industry.

There is a great demand for your skills if you can install, troubleshoot, service and maintain furnaces, heat pumps and refrigeration systems.

Our training program combines theory with extensive hands-on application. We offer our students over 300 hours of hands-on training, so they can immediately start working in the field upon successful graduation and after gaining employment. We employ the latest training techniques on a full range of equipment found in the field today.
We are an approved training and testing site for the EPA 608, R-410A, I.C.E. (Industry competency exam) and other certification exams. Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act requires all persons who maintain, service, repair, or dispose of appliances and equipment that contain regulated refrigerants be certified in proper refrigerant handling techniques.
The EPA has also established the phase out of the refrigerant R-22 in new equipment by January 1, 2010. Many manufacturers have already started this process and are building specially designed systems that utilize R-410A refrigerant. The newly designed systems require different installation and service procedures. |
